Information Sent Directly
Search Terms
A name or location entered into a search box is passed to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Atkinson County Busted Mugshots does not store or keep a log of those search terms on its own servers, but the partner may process them under its own notice and terms.
Messages and Requests
An email or contact message is retained as needed to read it, respond, and keep a basic record of the exchange. Messages are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Standard server, analytics, advertising, and security systems may receive technical details when a page loads:
- IP address or a shortened network address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page, when a referrer is sent
- Dates and timestamps
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies and similar storage help measure use, remember settings, support features, and understand which pages are useful. Browser controls can block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently when they are blocked.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to operate and protect the service, understand traffic, and keep the pages useful:
- Keep pages available, secure, and reasonably fast.
- Send a search request to the selected partner service.
- Measure which topics and links receive attention.
- Find errors, abuse, and technical faults.
- Display advertising that may reflect general interests.
Links to Other Services
Pages link to the Atkinson Sheriff, city departments, Georgia courts, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, news outlets, and outside search tools. Their privacy notices control after a visitor follows a link. Atkinson County Busted Mugshots does not control their data practices, security, content, or uptime.
Some advertising partners may use their own tools to measure activity across more than one service and show interest-based ads. That processing occurs on the partner's systems under its policies.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold as a general business practice. It may be available to the following parties when needed for the stated purposes:
- Search partners that handle a submitted query.
- Analytics and measurement providers.
- Advertising networks and related vendors.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies that present a valid legal order or other lawful demand.
Security Limits
Reasonable safeguards are used for internet-connected services, but no online system is completely secure. The operator cannot promise that data will never be intercepted, lost, altered, or exposed. Do not send sensitive information through an unprotected message.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted data, a parent or guardian may use the contact channel to request review and deletion of that information.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, a person may ask what personal data is held about them and request:
- A copy of information maintained about the requester.
- Correction of an inaccurate personal detail.
- Deletion of information that no longer needs to be retained.
- An opt-out from certain processing where an opt-out is available.
Some information cannot be removed when it must be kept for security, legal, dispute, or recordkeeping reasons. Requests should identify the information and a way to respond.
Changes to This Notice
Privacy practices may change as the service, partners, or legal requirements change. A revised notice will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised wording applies to future use.
